Valentine’s Day at the IPRC

Does your heart go pitter-patter over long-armed staplers and the smell of fresh photocopies? Would you rather curl up with a good zine than be schmoozed over a fancy candlelit dinner? Well, then, Valentine’s Day at the Zine Library is for you!

Help some lonely zines meet their barcode matches by volunteering to catalog from our vast archives. The work is simple – pick out a zine, skim it, write a short catalog description, print out a barcode, and then help it find its new home on the shelf! Training takes less than 10 minutes.

You can speed-date a new zine every ten minutes or find a cozy corner to really get to know its pages. You’re sure to find a treasure in our boxes of uncatalogued zines. Come to the IPRC on Feb 14th for No Zine Left Behind valentines day cataloguing extravaganza!

We’ll have some chocolate & wine to set the mood, some supplies for making nerdy valentine’s, the rest is up to you. Invite your sweetie or come stag and meet your zinester match. How can you not like someone who volunteers their time to give lonely zines a home? Maybe you can even write about them the next Zine Crush.

Accessibility Notes: The IPRC is accessible by wheelchair and we have audiozines to catalog for those that have limited vision.
