Please join the IPRC & Fonograf Editions for an evening of virtual readings to celebrate the release of MOTHER IS A BODY by Brandi Katherine Herrera. The event will feature readings from Lisa Wells, Lori Anderson Moseman, Dot Devota, and Brandi Katherine Herrera.

Lisa Wells is the author of Believers: Making a Life at the End of the World (FSG, 2021) and The Fix, winner of the Iowa Poetry Prize. Her work has been published by The New York Times, Harper’s Magazine, Granta, The Believer, n+1, and she writes a column for Orion Magazine called Abundant Noise.

Lori Anderson Moseman’s most recent poetry collections include DARN (Delete Press, 2021), Y (The Operating System, 2019), Light Each Pause (Spuyten Duyvil, 2017), and Flash Mob (Spuyten Duyvil, 2016). Her collaboration with book artist Karen Pava Randall, Full Quiver, is available from Propolis Press. A former educator, she ran the press Stockport Flats from 2006-2016.

Dot Devota’s essays and poems are often about pre-sickness, sensations in the phenomenon of “falling ill,” and post-viral, chronic and mysterious illnesses in individual, societal, and environmental body-scapes. A central question to her writing is: What is a poet in the age of mass extinction?

Brandi Katherine Herrera is an artist whose work in text, image, and sound explores the poetics of color, and space. She is the author of Mutterfarbe and Natürlicher, (Broken Cloud Press, 2016); a co-author of MAR (Lute & Cleat, 2018); and co-editor of The Lake Rises (Stockport Flats, 2013). Her work is held in the collections of the Seattle Art Museum, Yale University, UCLA, University at Buffalo, and Reed College, and has been featured by the Seattle Art Museum, Cube Gallery, 23 Sandy Gallery, Poetry Press Week, The Volta, Octopus Magazine, The Common, and Poor Claudia, among others.
