Finding Your Poem

Workshop Description

This two-hour writing workshop will focus on finding your unique poetic voice through class discussions of provided texts/video/audio, prompted generative writing sessions and individual/group sharing of your written pieces, alongside receiving respectful feedback from your peers.
Students can expect –  to actively encounter the poetic works presented via texts/audio/visually, strengthen their free writing skills, take on communal writing, participate in individual/group discussions of personal works/works of peers, and respectfully engage in constructive feedback of written pieces. All levels are welcome as this class will be entry level, yet engaging for those already experienced.

Sliding scale prices are recommended based on membership levels. Please select a level that is comfortable and within your means!

Sensory Note: for anyone experiencing audio or visual sensitivity, please note that the IPRC is situated under a skatepark, which creates occasional disruptive background noise, and the lighting in the studio and classroom space is primarily fluorescent. We do have ear plugs available for members.
