DIY Screen-Printing

This is a two part workshop where the participants will learn to construct their very own reusable screen and learn how to print images from hand cut stencils that they make in class. The screens made in this class are 12″ x 10″, which is a perfect size for zine covers, art cards, patches and small prints.Supplies include, stretcher bars, professional mesh, duct tape and staples. Once the screens are built the participants will make a hand- cut stencil using an x-acto knife to cut the image out of mac tac (sticker paper). Please bring an image that will be easy for you to cut out
with an x-acto blade, a simple black and white image that is not too detailed is best. The instructor will have a few images on hand if you choose not to bring your own.Ink and paper will be provided but if you are interested in printing on fabric, please bring some with you. Hope to see you there!
