Zines 101
September 8 @ 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Learn about zines in this hands-on workshop! Participants will learn a little bit about the history of zines, the basics of laying out a successful zine, and the magic of a photocopier. Everyone will complete the workshop with a small print run of their zine! The workshop will culminate in a zine swap.
Students are encouraged to come in with material for a short zine (let’s say eight paragraphs max), or with an open mind! Workshop taught by local zinester, liz yerby. Liz Yerby is an Ignatz nominated cartoonist and has been a key organizer of the Portland Zine Symposium for the last seven years! Check out PZS this year at PSU’s Smith Ballroom on 9/21 and 9/22!
