Neighborhood Memories
Try to think of your happiest memories, your saddest moments, funniest times and any other momentous occasion and have them recorded for a free walking tour podcast of the neighborhoods; Buckman, Downtown, Northwest, King/Vernon and Boise. These seemingly mindane street corners, swing sets, and benches communicate a rich, emotional history that make up our surroundings. No memory is too small, large, short or long.

Learn to set movable lead type and print on a table-top handpress in the IPRC print shop. You’ll learn the vocabulary of printing and typesetting while getting a feel for this beautiful and historical process. Leave class with a printed card and the satisfaction that comes with using 100 year old equipment! Come to class with small quotes or ideas for words to print. Successful completion of this class allows IPRC members access to open studio print hours so you can keep on printing!

Secret Belgium Binding
Learn to make a book using “secret” binding technique. In this workshop we will use inexpensive materials (e.g., recycled boxes, paper and thread) to make a deluxe journal, sketchpad, or smaple for future binding projects. This is a super fun sewing intensive workshop.
