You’ll learn the vocabulary of printing and typesetting while getting a feel for this beautiful and historical process. Leave class with a printed card and the satisfaction that comes with using 100 year old equipment! Come to class with small quotes or ideas for words to print. Successful completion of this class allows IPRC members access to open studio print hours so you can keep on printing!

Increase your InDesign efficiency and learn professional page layout tricks.Create long documents quickly using multiple Master Pages and multi-file books. Open to anyone interested in learning how to build and promote an attractive portfolio website using free services that already exist on the web. The class will explore basic web concepts such as html, CSS and blogging, as well as provide tips on how to get people interested in visiting your new web home.

Writing and Publishing a Short Story
After drawing inspiration from short story master Raymond Carver, publishing industry veteran Justin Hocking will lead a discussion about what really makes a story work in this two-session workshop. He’ll give tips on getting published, but more importantly he’ll help you publish your own writing in a zine/chapbook. We will also create our own personalized covers using gocco!
